TV Thursday: What I'm Watching

So with this quarantine, you would think I'd be getting in lots of TV watching! NO! That is not the case. Instead, the TV seems to be monopolized by the kids. I don't mind much. It at least brings noise to the house.

And since most of my shows are usually rather graphic, gory, or just SO not appropriate for kids, I've found it VERY difficult to watch anything around them. There are certain things I just don't want to explain.

So what am I watching? A couple of different shows.

CSI: Las Vegas -- Yes, the original one. I think I'm in season 10 or something, I'm not sure anymore. I know Grissom has left and Langston is there for the time being. So I'm definitely into episodes when I quit watching the show on a weekly basis.

Criminal Minds -- I'm in season 6. I think this when I quit watching regularly. I know JJ has left.

Star Trek: Voyager -- I'm in season 4 of this one.

Feel Good -- I just found this one on Netflix. Definitely one of those ones I cannot watch around the kids. It's MC, Mae, is a lesbian and it's focused around her relationship with Georgia. There are lots of inappropriate language and sexual references. So NOT appropriate for the kids! There's only one season and I think I'm in episode 5.

So yeah, I've got lots to choose from. Now if I could just stay awake long enough after the kids go to bed. Or find some other time to watch these things!

Introduction

I figured I'd better introduce myself because some of you may not know who I am or what this blog is about.

Me: I'm a single mom of two kids.

I Geek: sci-fi shows (Star Trek, The X-Files, Fringe, Almost Human, Star Crossed, Roswell to name a few), reading, writing, Backstreet Boys. There's probably a few other things I geek, but those are the biggies.

Yes, this blog will be the place where I "geek out." I used to have a LiveJournal, but after finding that I had this blog and it was going unused, I figured I'd better use it. And it will allow me to share my fandoms, fangirling, and general geeking out episodes with all of you!

Currently, there are a couple things that will probably be MAJOR themes:

The X-Files! Surprisingly, it is getting a 6 episode run at the end of this month! (Actually, in 4 days to be exact!) So I'll be MAJORLY geeking out on that show for a while! PLUS, I am trying to finish watching the series. Yeah, I'm NOT going to make it before the premiere of the new 10th "mini" season, but who cares! It's ALWAYS fun to go back and see old episodes!

Star Trek! This will probably become more prevalent later in the summer and early fall. Why???? Because the series will be 50 years old!!!!! AND in January of 2017, there is supposed to be a new series coming out. We'll see what happens about that!

Other than those two things right now, I can't see much on the horizon, but we'll just have to wait and see.
